I’m Syd and he’s Dev, the creators behind the blog. We are both forever lovers of really good food and nature. Combine both of those, and voilà! Bare Earth Bites was born.
I’m a firm believer that food affects every part of our bodies, and holds the power to heal us. I believe our bodies function best when we fuel them with real, wholesome foods. I earned my BS in Health Promotion with a minor in Nutrition Education, and I’m also a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). I absolutely love learning and sharing what I discover! I enjoy laughing with my little family, moving my body, listening to mystery audiobooks, and soaking up nature.
Devin, (or Dev to me) is my right hand guy, co-blogger, partner, and forever love. He enjoys spending quality time with family and feels most alive when he’s close to nature, appreciating the beauty and bounty it offers. Dev believes that food should nourish and fuel our bodies, but never be bland or boring. He finds joy in food—especially the eating part! Every bite should be as enjoyable as it is wholesome. He’s our go-to taste tester, always making sure our recipes are both satisfying and delicious.
Our mission is to create simple, wholesome recipes that are rooted in nature. Here you’ll find quick, mostly plant-based bites made from ingredients grown from the earth. We know life can get incredibly busy, and nourishing your body shouldn’t add stress. We hope you discover recipes you love that make it easy to fuel yourself well every day.
